(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to figures released by the Iraqi interior and defense ministries on Friday, 77 Iraqi policemen and 39 soldiers were also killed in June.
The Health Ministry said that 102 civilians were killed in bombings and other attacks in May compared with a death toll of 159 in January.
In May, 45 police officers and 30 soldiers were killed.
Meanwhile, 14 US soldiers were killed in June 2011, making it the deadliest month for US troops in three years.
Currently, there are nearly 50,000 US troops in Iraq.
